Ooredoo Myanmar today, donated Ks. 10,000,000 to Kayin State Disaster Management Committee for flood disaster rehabilitation in Kayin State because over 80 villages from five Townships in Kayin State already suffered the flooding due to recent heavy rain and faced difficulties.
The handover ceremony was held on 10th August, 2018, at Kayin State Government Office. The contribution is received by Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint, Chief Minister of of the Kayin State.
In addition to this humanities assistance, Ooredoo Myanmar offers free 30 SMS and 30 minutes on-net voice calls to the flood victims in 25 flood affected townships within Mon State, Kayin State and Bago Region because Ooredoo empathizes flood victims and it wants them to stay connected with their family, relatives and friends because people in these communities faced the harshness of this year natural disaster.
Mr. Vikram Sinha, CEO of Ooredoo Myanmar, said, “Our hearts are together with everyone affected by the flood. As our vision is enriching people lives and support the communities for social development, we would like to extend our contribution to the affected areas. Therefore, we took the initiative to offer the flooding aid to help the families connect with their loved ones at the time they need the most.”
