Ooredoo Myanmar reaching out reliefs for flood victims in Bago Region, Mon and Kayin States

Heavy rain has hammered Southern, Eastern and Central parts of Myanmar since last week and many people to flee their homes because of serious flood affected vast swathes of land. Therefore, Ooredoo Myanmar family has reached out to flood affected areas to send food and aid provisions for the flood victims.

Ooredoo Myanmar family went in Shwegyin Tonwship in Bago Region, Bilin Township in Mon State and Hpa-An in Kayin Stat to concern about the flood and to show its care for the people who are suffering the flood disaster.

Ooredoo provided the flood victims with the emergency supply bags which includes rice and other dry rations such as, cooking oil, instant noodles and canned fish which is worth about MMK 15 million which covered for nearly 1900 households. The food in the bag donated by Ooredoo will cover the huger of the flood victims for 3 days.

Mr. Vikram Sinha, CEO of Ooredoo Myanmar said, “We would like to express our great concern about the flooding and devastation of the country caused by heavy rain and we want to help. We stand firmly with our 3 Core Values – Caring, Connecting and Challenging. Therefore, we took the challenges to reach out reliefs for flood victims who had to suffer because natural disaster. We connected with them show our concern and care for these flood victims through our immediate support. We are really happy to have the execution support.”

Last month, Ooredoo Myanmar family connected with 451 households in Mawlamyaing and Ye in Mon State to send food and aid provisions for the flood victims.
