  1. What registration documents do I need as a Myanmar National, to subscribe for a prepaid Ooredoo SIM?

    Any Myanmar national over the age of 12, with a valid NRC card or driving license, can buy an Ooredoo SIM. You must bring your NRC Card with you to the Dealer or Ooredoo store in order to be able to subscribe for a prepaid Ooredoo SIM card.

  2. What registration documents do I need as a Foreigner to subscribe for a prepaid Ooredoo SIM

    Any foreigner over the age of 12 with a valid passport can buy an Ooredoo SIM. You must bring your passport and your Myanmar visa with you to the Dealer or an Ooredoo store in order to be able to subscribe to a prepaid Ooredoo SIM.

  3. What number should I call for assistance or enquiries and charges?

    From an Ooredoo SIM you can call for free on 234. Our Contact Centre is open 24 hours 7 days per week. From a non Ooredoo SIM the number is +95997000234. Note calling the Ooredoo Contact Centre from another service provider will be charged by the service provider.

  4. Do I need to apply for Data/Internet services?

    No. Data/Internet services are set up by default on all Ooredoo SIMs.

  5. Which devices will work on your network?

    The majority of smartphones will work on our 3G network. Some older feature phones that are not UMTS 900/2100 compatible will not work. To check if your phone is compatible, you can call our Contact Centre on 234 or visit an Ooredoo store or Dealer.

  6. What Ooredoo approved devices are available?

    You can visit the device section on the personal page for the full range of Ooredoo Approved devices.

  7. Can I call and SMS people in other countries using my Ooredoo SIM?

    Yes, you can. Ooredoo operates an International Direct Dial (IDD) Service. You do not have to subscribe for this service as it is available already on your Ooredoo SIM. To find out the cost of calling and texting countries, please check our calling overseas page on the website.

  8. What value added services are available on Ooredoo 3G SIM?

    There are many service available that are set up by default/without subscription on your SIM, e.g. call waiting, missed call alert, call me back, caller line identifier.

  9. What should I do if my Top Up Card is damaged?

    Please call the Contact Centre on 234 to speak to one of our Champions about the issue at hand.

  10. Can I use my Ooredoo SIM card whilst travelling abroad

    Yes you can use your Ooredoo SIM for roaming and you do not have to subscribe to the service. To check which countries and the charges whilst travelling places please check the roaming overseas page on our website.
